Current restrictions and recommendations in Northern Ostrobothnia (updated 17.03.2023)
Face masks are recommended to use in the following situations
- In somatic ward work, in intensive care and in recovery rooms in close patient care (distance less than 1 meter)
- In emergency rooms (OSYP, Oulaskangas, Raahe, Kuusamo) and primary care, as well as in emergency receptions of health centers
OYS Cancer Center polyclinics - In long-term care units and home care in close care (distance less than 1 meter).
Face masks are not used anymore
- Routinely in other polyclinics, health center receptions, psychiatric and children’s wards.
- In somatic bed wards, the mask can be left out if it is useful for the patient (e.g. a patient with hearing loss or for some other reason it is an advantage to see the face).
